Tacoma Astronomical Society Student Meetings

We are very excited about this year’s program and we think you are going to be too. We have a lot of special events such as field trips, star watches and parties planned along with our regular monthly meetings. We will still have our regular student meetings and our student observing nights at Pierce College in Steilacoom. The Student Meetings will have a regularly scheduled program and specific time slots set aside after break time for activities such as designing the Moon Habitat and Lunar Rover, studying the constellations, telescopes and deep sky objects, Astro-Jeopardy and Cash for Constellations. The Telescopes In Education (TIE) remote controlled telescope will occur as we receive permission for its use. The Student Meetings are held every fourth Friday in the Cascade Building, Room 203 at 7:00PM unless otherwise posted below. Student Observing Nights are held on the Observing Hill above the Sunrise Building. If the weather is poor on an observing night we will have plenty of games and activities in the Sunrise Building itself.
